It also arrived on a world already online, with a phone in every hand, so there was nothing left to wire up.
And each wave of technology scales faster than the last, riding the reach the one before it built.

The take

ChatGPT is a genuine breakthrough, and the speed is the proof. The flip side is the warning: anything that reaches a billion people in three years can upend an industry just as fast, with no time to adapt.
